The mining of Vratza limestone also known as - Vratza stone is dated back since the end of the 19th century AD. Vratza lime is applicable for the production of - construction materials, ornamental stone, tiles, balusters, fire places etc. Some of the most famous and beautiful buildings in Bulgaria are made of that stone:
During the years, Vratza lime became world famous because of its decorative, ornamental and technical characteristics. At present it is well known in many countries in Europe, Asia and America - it is used for making of monuments, building and decoration of temples, public centers etc.
